How to renew my trustee licence (payment of annual fees)

Quick steps to renew

1. You must first register with Industry Canada (remember to keep your password for next time).
2. Then view your statement and/or pay your fees.

Note: You can pay your licensing fees from November 2st, 2009 until December 31st, 2009. You will be able to visualize and print your statement all year long.

If your statement for annual fees for your trustee licence indicates a fee, please proceed as follows.

Setting up an account

Access to the online payment system is restricted to valid Industry Canada account holders. To set up your account, go to Industry Canada Web Site.

If you ever forget your password, call Industry Canada at 1-800-328-6189 or, if you live in the Ottawa region, dial 613-954-5031 for assistance.

Payment by credit card – Visa or Master Card

Online payment can be made by credit cards Visa and MasterCard only.

To pay your annual fees, you have to provide the system with

• your trustee licence number
• the statement number on the invoice sent to you by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.

If these two numbers do not match our records, you will not be able to view your statement or pay your fees.

Payment by cheque or money order

Please send your cheque or money order payable to Receiver General of Canada, at the following address:

2. Honorary Licences

If you have an honorary licence, it is renewable without fee. You are nevertheless still required to advise the Superintendent of your intention to maintain your trustee licence for the coming year. If this is the case, please send us a note which includes your trustee licence number and the statement number sent to you by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy. Failure to notify the Superintendent by December 31 will invalidate your licence.
